What's Different About Galt Foundation

It’s no secret that getting a job isn’t always a piece of cake. For people who find the employment process particularly challenging, including individuals with disabilities, staffing agencies can be a helpful service. The question is: Which agency is best for you? Here’s what sets Galt Foundation apart from the competition.

For people with disabilities, the employment process can come with additional challenges, which is why staffing agencies can be a particularly useful resource for finding a job. However, not all staffing agencies are created equal; it’s important that job seekers with disabilities have access to the right resources for securing employment, getting support, and importantly, being understood.

There are many temporary staffing agencies out there, all with varying areas of focus and degrees of support. But which one is best for you? Here’s what makes Galt Foundation different from other staffing agencies.

We Have Decades of Staffing Experience and Expertise

Galt Foundation began its operations as a nonprofit staffing agency in 1998. Since then, we are proud to have employed more than 25,000 people, making us one of the largest staffing organizations of individuals with disabilities in the world.

This wealth of expertise and experience hiring people with disabilities sets us apart from other employment agencies in the United States. Plus, our multiple strategic locations in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Oregon allow us to provide localized support to the communities that need us most.

We Understand Employees with Disabilities

Having operated in the field for more than 20 years, Galt Foundation truly understands people with disabilities and the challenges they face in the world of work. Our staff is passionate about finding the right positions for job seekers. In fact, some of our staff members, present and past, formerly used Galt’s job services themselves!

We do this work because we see potential where others might see limitations. “Galt didn’t look at my disability. It honed in on my potential,” former Galt job seeker Eileen said about her experience using our employment services. After using Galt’s services, Eileen joined Galt Foundation’s internal team.

We Genuinely Care About What We Do

Our work is deeply rooted in our belief in creating a world that is equitable, accepting, and full of opportunities. We seek to create a new kind of workplace – the workplace of the future – where employers have more access to skilled and motivated workers, and people of all capabilities can find meaningful, sustaining work. Quietly, radically, we are working to transform the world.

The people we work with are like-minded in our mission to help find meaningful work for people with disabilities. Our staff is passionate about what they do and love working with job seekers of all abilities. When former Galt job seeker Henry asked if he would recommend us, he said yes because “good folks come from Galt.”

The companies and organizations that seek our job matching services come to us again and again because they are also value-aligned.

We Support Employees Through the Employment Process

Not only are we passionate about finding meaningful work for job seekers with disabilities, we provide support throughout the employment process. We work with employees one-on-one to understand their unique skills, capabilities, and needs – and continue to support them with mentoring and coaching.

With the help of Galt Foundation, former Galt job seeker Alexis received the tools and training necessary to attain long-term employment at a permanent placement at a state department of health. Her coordinator at Galt personally reached out to help her in the areas she most wanted to improve on: her resumé and interview skills. “Having Galt be so helpful and encouraging [made a] huge difference,” Alexis said.

Alexis received help every step of the way, from applications to new assignments, with constant check-ins, and she never felt like she was left hanging. When asked what people can expect from using Galt’s services, Alexis said, “I would tell them to expect [Galt] to be there for you. I can’t stress that enough.”

In contrast to agencies that only want to fill temporary positions, Galt is committed to helping job seekers find employment in areas where they can grow and build a long-term career.

We Succeed When You Succeed

Unlike a number of other staffing agencies, our business model is completely sustainable. One hundred percent of our revenues are earned through the delivery of services and zero percent through donations, which means we succeed only when our clients are successful. This efficient, values-based model benefits our organization, our employees, and our clients.

We Receive Positive Feedback

When it comes to Galt’s success as a staffing agency, look no further than the former job seekers we have helped over the years. When asked if she would recommend Galt to her peers, Lydia exclaimed, “Absolutely! And I have!” As for Henry, he says he’s a “walking billboard for Galt now.”
